Indian techie hacked to death by roommate in United States

Washington: An Indian techie hailing from Kachiguda of Hyderabad was allegedly hacked to death by his roommate in Austin of the United States (US) on Tuesday.

“We received a call from our relatives and one of Sankeerth’s friends Pranith that he was killed by his roommate Sai Sandeep Goud,” said the deceased’s uncle Srinivas.

Other highlights:

• The 24-year-old software engineer succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to a hospital.
• The accused has been taken into custody by the police.
• An investigation was under way.
