People in China are in panic due to Human Metapneumo Virus (HMPV). This virus is spreading rapidly among people. Many people are dying due to HMPV virus in Chinese hospitals. It is being claimed in media reports that the situation in China is similar to that of Coronavirus infection 5 years ago. It is claimed about the Coronavirus that it spread from a lab in the Chinese city of Wuhan and engulfed the whole world. Can the HMPV virus also spread from China to the whole world including India? This question is in the minds of many people today. However, the Health Ministry of India says that Indians do not need to worry about the current situation in China. The government is keeping an eye on the situation of the virus spread in China.
China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said on Friday, "Respiratory infection peaks during the winter season. I can assure you that the Chinese government cares about the health of Chinese citizens and foreigners visiting China. It is safe to travel in China, there is no major risk here.'
Amid reports of an increase in the disease caused by Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV) in China, the Health Ministry said that the government is monitoring the developments, and at present no increase in the rate of infection of the virus has been observed. He said, Metapneumovirus is like any other virus, which causes common cold, and it can cause flu-like symptoms in the very old and the very young. He said that if there is an increase in cases, the country is ready to deal with the situation. The Health Ministry said, 'In any case, during winter, the outbreak of respiratory virus infection increases, for which our hospitals are usually prepared with the necessary supplies and the necessary beds.'
The HMPV virus usually spreads more by coughing and sneezing. Apart from this, it also spreads rapidly by touching or shaking hands with an infected person. Its symptoms start appearing within 5 days after getting infected. Experts say that this virus is always there, but it becomes more active in the cold season. It catches people quickly, due to which the problem starts to seem bigger. Therefore, there is no need to panic.
Wear a mask before leaving the house, because it spreads from one person to another through cough and cold. Do not shake hands with an infected person and clean your hands thoroughly after coming home. Do not take any medicine without consulting a doctor. Avoid going to a crowded place, because the infection spreads rapidly here. There is no vaccine for the HMPV virus yet.
Five years after the Covid-19 pandemic, such conditions are now being seen in China, due to which countries around the world are looking worried. Reports and social media posts are claiming that the situation in China is worsening, hospitals there are confirming this. Huge crowds are seen outside hospitals. It is also being claimed that more bodies are being brought to the crematoriums of China for last rites. This is also being linked to the outbreak of HMPV virus. It is being said that many viruses including HMPV are spreading simultaneously in China these days.
Human Metapneumovirus (HMVP) looks somewhat similar to the corona virus. This is a virus that usually causes symptoms like cold and flu. This virus is catching small children, the elderly and people with weak immune systems the most. Such people are becoming seriously ill. Due to the grip of this virus, patients are facing problems like cough, fever, nasal congestion. Due to this virus, patients also suffer from serious diseases like pneumonia and bronchiolitis, after which their health starts deteriorating rapidly.
