Heavy downpour has caused  66 deaths in China, 11 more missing

Bejing: Incessant rain in China for the past few days has led to death of 66 persons so far . Eleven others have been missing

According to official sources, the rain has affect 46.6 lakh population in the country. Of the total, 95,000 have been evacuated to safer places.

As many as 5,200 houses have been razed to the ground. About 74,000 others have been damaged.

The heavy rainfall has damaged crops in about 2,68,ooo hectares.In terms of money, the losses have been estimated at 83 crore dollars.
