Germany refuses to supply Air Independent Propulsion system to Pakistan

Germany has given a strong shock to Pakistan. The case is related to providing air independent propulsion (AIP) systems to make submarines more powerful.

In fact, Pakistan had requested Germany to provide Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) system to make its submarines more powerful but Germany has turned down its demand.

Germany refused to help Pakistan:

The decision has been taken by the Security Panel headed by German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Explain that if Pakistan had got the AIP system, the capacity of its submarines would have increased and diesel engines could run for a week or more without atmospheric air. But Germany refused to help him.

People watching the case say that Germany has taken a strong stand against Pakistan because its role on terrorism has always been dubious. In May 2017, the Pakistan government also failed to identify the culprits of the truck bomb attack near the Germany Embassy in Kabul.

According to media reports, the Security Council of Germany has informed the Pakistani embassy about its decision on 6 August itself. Pakistan had asked for an Air Independent Propulsion System (AIP) from Germany so that it could recharge its submarines and stay under water for longer. But this did not happen.

Pakistan is also working on upgrading its submarines. Yuan class submarines are also being built in China under the Sino-Pakistan project.
