Four injured in an explosion on Sariab road in Quetta of Pakistan

Quetta: At least three frontier Corps personnel and one passer-by were severely injured when a bomb exploded near a vehicle commuting security forces' on Sariab road in Quetta (Pakistan), on Wednesday.

The explosion was caused by Improvised Explosive Device (IED). The injured were identified as Jawad, Qudratullah, Yawar Khan and Mohammad baksh.

The officials said, "The bomb was targeted to explode the Frontier Corps convoy while it was on patrol."

• The injured were immediately taken to the nearby hospital for medical treatment.
• The area has been cordoned off by the security forces.
• The further investigation regarding the incident is underway.

It may be mentioned that last month Pakistan was struck by a wave of terrorist attacks, killing at least 130 people across the country and leaving hundreds injured. One of the deadly attacks took place at Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s shrine in southern Sehwan that took the lives of more than 90 people.
