Covid-19 positive Trump faces criticism after taking off mask in front of the White House

The president, who arrived at the White House on Marine One, was wearing a surgical mask, which he removed for photos  on the South Portico steps.

US President Donald Trump was discharged from the hospital on Monday after four days. As soon as he reached the White House, he removed the mask from his face.

He was criticised on social media after he posed outside the White House without a mask despite testing Covid-19 positive and having just returned from a hospital.

Trump indicated that he would resume his election campaign soon. Trump himself informed about the shift from the hospital to the White House.

Trump back to White House:

He said in one of his tweets that ‘We have lost 210,000 people due to this pandemic. Now there is no need to fear it. ”The US president was undergoing treatment at Walter Reed Military Hospital. White House Dr. Sean Conley said Trump’s health was improving and he could take leave. Although the doctor said that he has not recovered completely but is safe to go home.

Trump removes Mask:

In a video message, after leaving the hospital, Trump also urged fellow Americans to “get out there” and not to be afraid of the virus which has infected over almost 7.5 million people and killed over 2 lakh people in the nation.

Many on Twitter said the president was reckless and criticised him for putting other people’s lives at risk.
