Bhopal: Chinese nationals in Madhya Pradesh have come under the scanner of police over the suspicion of consuming ‘beef’.

These Chinese nationals are working for Sasan Power Project in Singrauli of MP.

Around 65kgs of flesh was seized from a private canteen employee and was sent to laboratory for test, police said.

The arrested canteen employee told police that he had been bringing meat from Chhattisgarh, particularly for seven Chinese workers at Sasan for a year.

A case against four people have been registered under Madhya Pradesh Prohibition of Cow Slaughter Act.

The incident:

It came to light when activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) got a tip off that beef was being transported to Singrauli. They tried to nab three youths on a bike in Siddhi Khurd village, near Sasan Power Project.
