Islamabad: At least 10 people including two children and a woman have lost their lives while several sustained injuries when a van carrying passengers hit a landmine in Kurram Agency in Pakistan on Tuesday.

The injured have been rushed to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital. Among the four injured, four are critical.

According to the reports, landmine was laid by terrorists in a mountainous area. The explosion took place when van was en route to Sadda from Gudar.

No terrorist group has taken the responsibility of the attack.

Pakistan Army has been pressed into action for airlifting injured to Peshwar. Army is using MI-17 helicopter for the same.
