UK military admits participation in killing 62 Syrian soldiers
London: The British military has admitted its involvement in airstrikes in Syria which reportedly killed 62 soldiers of the country on Saturday last.
Earlier, the deadly strikes in the east Syrian city of Deir Ezzor had been attributed to Australian, American and Danish forces but the United Kingdom (UK) Ministry of Defence (MoD) on Monday took to micro blogging website Twitter to admit the country’s involvement in the attack.

“We confirm that UK was a participant in the recent coalition airstrikes in Syria,” said a country’s MoD spokesperson.
It may be recalled that 62 Syrian soldiers were reportedly killed in United States-led coalition airstrikes while battling against Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
