Berlin: Truck crash in Christmas market kills 9, injures 50

Berlin: At least nine people have lost their lives and 50 others sustained injuries when a truck crashed into a Christmas market here on Monday evening.

“A lorry has driven through a crowded Christmas market. It seems to be an intentional attack,” said police.

The co-driver of the truck also died, police added.The incident left public in panic. Security forces are conducting massive operations and the area has been cordoned off.

As per the eyewitnesses, the truck entered the remote area at a speed more than 40mph. Hoardings and stalls were also destroyed after a mishap.
