Basilan bomb blast kills two, three injured
The deceased were identified as Niyadz Pising (3), Ombek Akbar (5). While the injured were Pahmiya Pising (5), Salmiya Akbar (5) and Suraima Akbar (25)
Philippines: Two children were killed and three people were critically injured in a bomb blast at the Al-Bakra town of Basilan on Sunday. The explosion was caused by an improvised explosive device (IED).
According to the Lieutenant Colonel Raphael Franco Alano, "The IED was planted by Abu Sayyaf Group ASG which is headed by Furuji Indama."
- The victims were playing outside when the incident took place.
- The wounded were immediately taken to nearby hospital.
- Police were deployed to the incident spot soon after they were informed about the incident.
The deceased were identified as Niyadz Pising (3), Ombek Akbar (5), while the injured were Pahmiya Pising (5), Salmiya Akbar (5) and Suraima Akbar (25).

It may be mentioned that earlier two children were killed and two others were injured when similar incident took place at Al-Bakra town in Basilan.
