New Delhi: The relations between India and Pakistan has always been the talking point among other nations but a new dimension is added to this following a recent report prepared by the Sustainable Development and Solution Network (SNDN) and Earth Institute of Columbia University which says that Pakistan is a better Nation to live in as compared to India.

This may give Pakistan a reason to smile which is nothing short of a shocker for Indians. Where Pakistan manages to enter in list of top 100 countries with the rank of 92, India holds the 118th rank. The first report of the these Institutes was issued in 2010 for the purpose of supporting United Nations meeting on happiness and well being. The 2016 survey represented Ireland, Iceland and Japan are the only countries that have maintained their previous standards of happiness. Japan has been a trend setter by maintaining its place even after 2011 Earthquake.

Norms on which the countries were judged:

The report was prepared by surveying 157 nations and all these countries were judged on certain parameters ( per capita GDP, social support, health life expectancy, freedom to make choices and generosity) that the residents of the country look forward to lead a happy life.

Nations - Top to Bottom:

Countries that scored well enough to get place in top 10 nation lists are- Denmark, Switzerland, Iceland, Norway, Finland, Canada, Netherlands, New Zeland, Australia and Sweden, while the countries in bottom 10 list are - Madagascar, Tanzania, Liberia, Guinea, Rawanda, Benin, Afghanistan, Togo, Syria and Burundi.

The report could be a reality check for the Indian Leaders who insist that they are working well for the Nation's benefit.
