New Delhi: It was told by the Pentagon that the US Defense Forces are preparing to send 159 Oxygen Concentrators to India via commercial flight next week.

America sending oxygen concentrators to India:

"The Defense Resources Agency is preparing 159 oxygen concentrators at the Travis Airforce Base," Pentagon press secretary John Kirby said Thursday at a press conference. "They will be flown to India on Monday or May 17 by commercial flight."

He said," Certainly we remain in close contact with our colleagues in the Government of India to give them all the help they need. Kirby said that Defense Minister Lloyd Austin also wants the Pentagon to help them in all possible ways by coordinating with and consulting India's leaders.

COVID aid from America:

On the other hand, India's Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu said that Indian-Americans have been an important pillar in the country's cooperation in the fight against covid-19.

Sandhu held talks online with prominent Indian-Americans on Thursday and appreciated their support. Sandhu tweeted after the meeting, "I spoke to the leaders of the Indian-American community in America on a couple of occasions today.
