Air strike hit maternity hospital, kills two in Syria

Kafer Takhareem (Syria): As many as two people died and three others were wounded in an air raid which has hit the ‘Save the Children’ supported maternity hospital in northwest Syria, said officials.

The strike was carried by an unknown source.

Those who are killed in the attack were the relatives of patients, said Syria Relief agency.

Syria Relief agency runs the hospital in Kafer Takhareem which provides social service.

"We're heartbroken & outraged by the attack on our partners' maternity hospital in Syria. Children must be protected," Save the Children said.

Biggest in the area, the hospital carries 300 deliveries in a month, supporting 1,350 women, as per Save the Children.
