AI Discovered planet outside the solar system

Researchers have confirmed that other planets exist outside the solar system in the Space. A research team of Georgia University has claimed to have found evidence of the same. The team took help of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to find this exoplanet.

Interestingly the AI took only one hour to find it. This planet is orbiting of a star named HD 142666.

The researchers said that AI could confirm whether an exoplanet was actually present or not around a star by looking at the protoplanetary disk – the gas present in the disk around the star.

What is exoplanet?

These planet exist outside our solar system or galaxy that is why they are called exoplanet. Exoplanet has its own world. They orbit some other star instead the Sun. last year, NASA had confirmed about 5000 exoplanets in the Space.

Researcher Jason Terry said “we got to know that planets exist outside the solar system through traditional technology but with the help of AI we founded exact location of exoplanet”. Several photographs of the disc were clicked. In this, a region of the disc was highlighted. AI model marked the presence of the exoplanet that place, she said.

We applied AI model with the observations received through traditional technology. We got to know about a disc, she also added.

Researcher Cassandra Hall said “we came to know about so many things with the help of AI which were not noticed before. This is the example that AI can help of scientists to find real accuracy and to reduce the time”.

Ross 508 B is included in exoplanets.
