Adult Gorilla shot dead to save life of a four year old child
Ohia: The zoo authorities of Cincinnati zoo in Ohia had to shot dead a 17-year-old gorilla to save the life of a four year old child.
The toddler fell inside the primate’s enclosure, where he was grabbed by a 17-year old gorilla.
Zoo director, Thane Maynard says:
- The child was in a life-threatening situation.
- The only action that could be taken was to shoot the 400 pounds (181 kg) gorilla.
- They made the right choice by saving little boy’s life.
