Havana: At least eight armymen died after a Cuban military plane crashed in Artemisa province, about 100 kilometers (62 miles) southwest of Havana.

The incident took place on Saturday when a Cuba's Revolutionary Armed Forces crashed into a mountain.

"The eight military personnel on board, including the crew, died," the Ministry of Revolutionary Armed Forces said in a statement.

The investigation is on in order to find the cause behind the crash.

Earlier, in one such incident, about 68 died when an Aero Caribbean flight crashed in Cuba.
