Aden, Yemen: As many as 48 soldiers were killed and about 50 others sustained injuries when a suicide bomber blew himself inside a military base here on Saturday.

The attack took place when troops were gathered to collect their monthly pay, said a military source.

“A suicidal bomber sneaked in among the soldiers who were standing in line and blew himself up. This is not the first time this base was attacked,” said a local source.

The area was cordoned off and security officials also launched search operations. No group has taken the responsibility of the attack yet.
