Turkey: At least 16 people have lost their lives on Monday when a Turkish airlines cargo plane crashed in the residential area of Kyrgyzstan.

The Boeing aircraft, taken off from Hong Kong, was to land at Manas airport in Bishkek.

Among the killed, most were on the ground, when the plane tried to land in poor visibility due to dense fog.

About 15 buildings in the village were also destroyed. Emergency services are installed at the scene.

“We have recovered the body of the pilot and 15 locals,” said healthcare ministry. Vice Prime Minister Mukhammetkaliy Abulgaziev and other senior government officials have reached the spot.
