Yogi Adityanath starts civic polls campaign from Ayodhya
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath started the campaign for urban local body polls from Ayodhya in the state today. The slogan of Jai Shri Ram was roared many a times during the address of UP CM.
Yogi said, in the rally, that BJP not only works for power but for service of people also.
What else Yogi said?
- Ayodhya is first city of the civilization. We do not work only for power owing to which we launched a manifesto which shows our vision towards the progress of state.
- We have changed the situation upside down for the betterment of UP as prior to this government street lights in the state were either not working or lit during day light when they are not needed. Now, street lights are used when needed the most i.e. in night hours.
- We electrified homes of about 20 lakh people in last seven months.
- We are also providing quarters to poors.
He visited districts of Gonda and Bahraich. The chief minister will address total 40 rallies in all 16 poll-bound municipal corporations in span 14 days.
Total of 652 urban local bodies are going to civic polls, the highest number so far. The number also includes 16 municipal corporations.
This was after the mega pre-Diwali celebrations, UP CM paid a visit in Ayodhya.
It may be mentioned here that Bharatiya Janata Party's manifesto (Sankalp Patra) promises free WiFi at prominent public places and 'pink toilets' for women.
Uttar Pradesh will witness three-phase civic polls on November 22, 26 and 29. Counting will be held on December 1.
