Sambhal: In a yet another shameful incident, a 28-year-old woman was allegedly attacked by two bike-borne assailants while she was returning from temple in Sambhal on Monday.

The victim was immediately taken to the district hospital by the nearby people where the doctors stated that her condition is critical.

The doctor said, "She suffered severe burns in her body. We are trying our best to save her life but nothing can be said as her condition is not stable."

Victims father alleged that the incident was performed by her husband. He said, " My son-in-law has attacked my daughter as the situation was not normal between them."

What else victim's father stated:

  • My daughter was wed one year ago in Moradabad.
  • Things were not going normal between my daughter and her husband.
  • They use to quarrel almost everyday, just after two months of their marriage.
  • Since, last eight months, my daughter use to live in her maternal house.

Station officer Brajmohan Giri, Circle Officer B P Singh Baliyan and Senior Superintendent of Police Rammurat Yadav immediately reached the hospital as soon as they were informed.

B P Balyan said, "We have recorded the statement of the victim and her father. The investigation is on regarding the incident. The culprits will be nabbed soon."
