Lucknow: Asserting that his government reinforced the rule of law in the state, provided good governance and delivered and that too in the most transparent manner, a buoyant Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath enthused confidence that the party will come to the power again with over 350 assembly seats in 2022.

Every individual is happy: CM Yogi

"We delivered on all the promises we made before coming to power in 2017 catering to all the sections including youth, women, farmers, poor without any discrimination on caste or religion basis,'' claimed the CM while addressing an impressive function on completion of four and a half years of his government on Sunday. He said every individual of the state was happy as his government evolved a transparent development model, based on which party was confident of returning to power with more than 350 seats.

Broadsiding the opposition for unleashing a misinformation campaign, CM Yogi minced no words while stating " we had inherited a state which was mired in corruption in recruitment process, appeasement of certain sections was the mainstay of governance and the poor and deprived section was denied benefits of the welfare schemes." Adding ,he said " it was an onerous task for his government to change the perception about Uttar Pradesh in the country which we managed to do with precision as the state was considered as an obstacle in the overall progress of the country."

Thanking the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the government at the Centre for continuous support and guidance for four and a half years, CM Yogi said that it was a matter of pride for all of us that Uttar Pradesh had now emerged as the leader on many counts, so much so that the state of Uttar Pradesh secured the top position in the country in implementation of 44 government schemes.

The Chief Minister, while listing achievements of his government, was livid how the state was consigned to communalism and appeasement preventing the most eligible lot of the society getting benefits of the welfare schemes. " The habitual criminals and mafia were directly under government patronage during the previous regime and the period between 2012 and 2017 witnessed riots every three-four days," he pointed out further stating that " my government may well boast of having no single riot during the last four and a half years, the criminals were shown their place and the property of mafias, acquired through unscrupulous manner, worth over Rs 1800 crore was either seized or demolished."

He said during the previous governments, there used to be a scramble for making their 'own' houses but his government delivered for the people and provided as many as 42 lakh houses for the poor under PM Awas Yojana.

He said that there was a time when the investors were wary of coming and investing in Uttar Pradesh. My government held first-ever Investor Summit in 2018 which assured the state the investment of over Rs three lakh crore which was quite an achievement considering the fact that the state affairs were in shambles till 2017. The state of Uttar Pradesh which used to be the sixth largest economy of the country was now at number two. Similarly, Uttar Pradesh which languished at 14th position in Ease of Doing Business in 2016 took a quantum jump to reach second position which led to repositioning of investors' confidence in the state, he said. With a conducive environment created by the government in terms of controlled law and order, transparent processes and prompt decision-making, it came as no surprise that even the companies from China relocated their businesses in Uttar Pradesh, added Yogi.

" We have reached the position where the exports are at 1.61 lakh crore making Uttar Pradesh as the export hub while the MSME sector which was lying in the dumps during the previous government has become growth engine of the economy with the flagship scheme One District One Product (ODOP), promoting the traditional crafts and craftsmen, has been a grand success," the CM said.

The Chief Minister said that the Covid management of his government proved to be a torchbearer for many states with health infrastructure having been created during the most trying times. Earlier in the previous governments, the relief in disaster situations could not reach the needy for months but his government changed the system to a great deal and provide instant relief to the people in crisis.

He said that the hallmark of his government was the underlying mantra of transparency in governance and ensuring benefits of the welfare schemes to all without discrimination. Only because of this, the government had been enjoying overwhelming support of the masses which would be the sole criterion of the satisfaction for all of us, he said.

Taking a jibe at the opposition again, the CM said " they used to mock us on Ayodhya Ram temple construction date. Now they are silent as the construction of the grand temple at Ayodhya has taken off," adding " the Deepotsav at Ayodhya, Dev Deepawali at Kashi and Rangostav at Barsana , Mathura have become the symbol of our ancient culture and faith."

The function was attended by senior Ministers, senior officers and invited guests from the organisation.
