Wanted criminal Jaan Mohammad killed in police encounter at Muzaffarnagar

Muzaffarnagar: Wanted criminal Jaan Mohammad was gunned down in an encounter with the police near the Khatauli Police station area here on Sunday.

Jaan Mohammad, who had Rs. 12,000 bounty over his head, sustained serious injuries and died on his way to hospital.

The police have recovered one Swift car, pistol, and cartridges.

The police personnel were also injured in the encounter, and are currently undergoing treatment at the district hospital.
