Bijnor: The Nehtaur assembly constituency of the district witnessed anger among the voters as they boycott voting at the booth number 225 in Aminabad area on Wednesday. The booth registered a single vote till 1000 hours.

The electorate of Aminabad area of the constituency expressed their disappointment for having no developmental work being done in their area and stated, since their votes do not benefit their own people, they would not vote for any candidate.

It could be recalled that a similar case was reported in the first phase of the polls, earlier, when as many as 350 voters of the Shikohabad assembly constituency of the district had boycotted voting on Saturday last.

The electorate of Nagla Kothi area of the constituency had expressed anger over the lack of development in the area.

It is worth mentioning that polling has started in eight constituencies of Bijnor and the results will be declared on March 11.
