Yogi Adityanath in Gorakhpur: EVM stands for 'Every Vote Modi'

Gorakhpur: Mocking at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, his Uttar Pradesh counterpart Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said that the people of the national capital have proved that EVM (Electronic Voting Machine) stands for 'Every Vote Modi' in the recently concluded civic body polls in Delhi.

In an apparent reply to the opposition's claims of EVM tampering, the UP Chief Minister said, "People in Delhi proved in the civic polls that EVM stands for Every Vote Modi."

Addressing the party workers here, he heaped praises over Prime Minister Narendra Modi for putting a full stop on the VIP culture across the country by banning red beacons atop vehicles of ministers, politicians and bureaucrats.

"The Centre imposed a complete ban on VIP culture by banning the use of red beacons which is really appreciable," said Yogi.

Claiming that Uttar Pradesh has seen a major transformation in law and order situation since Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took power, Yogi Adityanath said, "We have already urged people who do not respect law are free to leave the state, and if they don’t, strict action will be taken."

Amid the increasing violence in the name of cow protection, the UP Chief Minister reiterated his warning that violence will not be tolerated at any cost.

It may be recalled that cow protection was among the top priorities of Yogi Adityanath and consequently he imposed a ban on the illegal slaughterhouses immediately after taking charge of the state.
