Uma Bharti challenges Akhilesh to argue her before debating PM Modi

Gorakhpur: Challenging Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, Union Minister of Water resources Uma Bharti, on Monday, said that the former should debate with her before Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

While addressing a press conference here, Uma Bharti warned UP CM, saying, "I accept his (Akhilesh Yadav) challenge. He should first exchange words with me before debating with PM Modi."

It could be recalled that the UP CM earlier in a press conference had said, "Samajwadi government has always been working for development without any discrimination and I am ready to face any debate over it.” he had also stated, “I challenge PM Modi to reveal the details where my government has been discriminative.”

Launching an attack on Akhilesh Yadav, Uma Bharti said:

  • Wherever, Akhilesh wants, I will come to have an arguement with him.
  • I want Akhilesh to accept my challenge.
  • Uttar Pradesh government has neglected the farmers of the state.
  • SP discriminates between Hindu and Muslim.
  • The SP government also discriminates among farmers just to benefit its vote bank.

Uma Bharti also expressed grief on the death of Rajendra Shukla, the assembly candidate of Sahjanwa constituency.

It may be mentioned that, the nine constituencies of Gorakhpur namely- Campierganj, Pipraich, Gorakhpur Urban, Gorakhpur rural, Sahjanwa,Khajani, Chauri Chaura, Bansgaon, Chillupar will go to polls on March 4. The results will be declared on March 11.
