Varanasi: Amid the row of national and anti-national, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday said nationalism has become a much maligned word only in this country.

"What my belief says, nationalism is a good word, But, I fail to understand that why it is appearing to be a bad word only in this nation," said Arun Jaitley.

Taking on students raising anti-India slogans at Delhi University's Ramjas College, he said , "I completely support freedom of expression but it should be within legal restrictions."

Attacking Congress for spreading lies on the Centre's move of demonetisation, Jaitley said people have apreciated demonetisation move.

"Bharatiya Janata Party's victory in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections will prove that people have accepted demonetisation,” said Jaitley.
