PM Modi takes pot shot at Congress while distributing e-boats

Varanasi: Taking a pot shot at Congress over the issue of naming schemes on Gandhi family, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that e-boats are dedicated to the sailors.

“My government could have also named the e-boat scheme after senior leaders like Shyama Prasad Mukharjee and others but, keeping the fact in mind that the government is only for the commoners, we have named it as --‘Navik’ as these sailors fearlessly entertain tourists coming from across the world,” Modi said.

Woos Nishad community:

Political pundits have it that distribution of e-boats was an attempt to woo Nishad community in view of the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh.

The PM in his address said that now the Nishad community will come to Modi for e boats.

Modi, however, in his address at Ballia denied their claims that he has come to sound the election bugle.

Major embarrassment averted:

A major embarrassment was averted when the wiring beneath the stage caught fire and was controlled within minutes ahead of Modi’s arrival.

Bats for education:

The Prime Minister batted for education by saying that education is the key to eradicate poverty and urged sailors to use the money they save through e-boats on teaching their kids and using the money on other developmental works.

Starts with Har Har Modi:

The leader of all knows how to make other comfortable in his company, like in Ballia, the PM in Varanasi started his address with the slogan of –‘Har Har Mahadev’ (every man is a superpower).

Administered oath:

Modi took promise from every Benarsite to make the city of Ghats clean.

It may be recalled that he started his Cleanliness mission from his parliamentary constituency after he became the Prime Minister and the first every event of cleanliness in Varanasi was started from cleaning the staircases of Assi Ghat.

Earlier, PM distributed e-rickshaws to 22 rickshaw puller and held ‘Chaupal’ with them.
