Congress, SP and BSP follow 'Kuch Ka Saath Kuch Ka Vikas': PM Modi

Varanasi: Taking potshots at the Congress, the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said all these follow 'Kuch Ka Saath Kuch Ka Vikas', contrary to Bharatiya Janata Party's agenda of 'Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas'.

"Our motto is 'Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas, but Congress, SP and BSP have different culture of politics that says 'Kuch Ka Saath Kuch Ka Vikas'," said PM Modi while addressing Parivartan Sankalp rally here.

Overwhelmed by the response of the crowd, PM Modi, quoting Mark Twain, said Varanasi is older than history. and called the blessing from the people of Kashi, his strength.

Training guns at Samajwadi Party, PM Modi said it was afraid that Modi will get credit owing to which roads were not repaired in the holy city even after underground cabling was done. "The state govt should have been happy that the PM was funding the underground cabling work, but they created hindrances,"

PM Modi said that he wanted to build a ring road here but state government did not cooperate. Sharpening his attack at SP, PM said he asked for the list of 30 lakh families which do not have homes in Uttar Pradesh, but Akhilesh Yadav government failed to provide it to the Centre.

PM Modi said be it Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party or Congress, everyone criticised each other at every front but they teamed up after the announcement of demonetisation. "Demonetisation brought corrupts together," he said.

PM Modi said it was the state government which ignored Poorvanchal despite having immense potential and natural resources to grow. "UP will develop if Poorvanchal develops. BSP and SP have done nothing for this region," said PM Modi.

Assuring the honest one's of power, Prime Minister of India said nobody will be able to trouble them.

Taking a dig at the Congress, PM Modi said earlier questions were asked how much money was guzzled in the scams but now questions have changed to, "Modi ji what has come back?"

"I wanted to pass the one-rank-one-pension proposal within six months of taking power. But, once I took office, I released there were no records on the proposal," said PM Modi attacking the Congress.

Patting his back, PM Modi said Kashi people should be proud that their MP has no stain on his image.

Praising the holy soil of Varanasi, he said the city has immense potential and is blessed with talented people

What else PM Modi said?

  • I want to promote tourism here, it will strengthen lives of the people.
  • UP govt rejected to sign MoU with the Centre that would have cut down the power deficit in the state.
  • We are creating infrastructure so that people do not need to travel to Lucknow or Delhi for treatment.
  • One of my aims is to provide home to every Indian by 2022 as it saddens me to see that even after so many years after independence, people do not have homes.
