Gorakhpur: Soon after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inspected the BRD Medical College, hospital's Vice-President and superintendent of encephalitis department Doctor Kafeel Khan was stripped of all his duties over the charges of sexual exploitation and private practice.

According to the official sources, the doctor was accused of sexually exploiting a woman and using hospitals's property, including oxygen cylinders, for private practice.

It could be mentioned that Dr. Khan, the Vice Principal of the medical college, was being praised for turning out to be a saviour for many children at the hospital on the night of August 11 when there was acute oxygen breakdown.

Kafeel Khan had become the national hero when he had arranged oxygen cylinders on his own to save the lives of innocent children. He had reportedly bought oxygen cylinders from private medical institutions of the city to evade the tragedy.

Earlier in the day on Sunday, UP CM visited the BRD Medical College and assured of stringent action against those responsible for the tragedy.

It may be mentioned that a probe has been ordered, led by Chief Secretary, to find out the culprits behind the tragedy.

College's principal Rajeev mishra has already been suspended into the matter.
