Gorakhpur: Kashif Jameel, brother of Gorakhpur infants death accused Dr. Kafeel Khan, was shot in the city late night on Sunday.

The 34-year-old Jameel, who is a businessman, was shot by two men on a motorcycle. Heb was immediately taken to a nearby nursing home and went through a surgery to remove the bullet.

After the bullet was taken out Jameel was admitted to the BRD medical college and was kept under observation for 48 hours.

Doctor Khan said that the bullet was lodged in his brother's neck and has been removed now but Jameel is still in critical condition.

According to the police officials, "no exact motive has been found behind the shooting. The accused have not been identified yet but we are working on the case and are sure of nabbing the people at fault soon."

It is to be mentioned that Kashif Jameel is the brother of Dr. Kafeel Ahmed Khan who is the accused of infant deaths in Gorakhpur government hospital. Khan is out on bail, after spending eight months behind the bars, as there was no direct evidence against him.
