Ballia: The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) election in-charge of Uttar Pradesh Om Prakash Mathur denied that the party would go for any alliance in the fourth assembly elections of the state.

“There will be no alliance with any party including the Rashtriya Lok Dal in 2017 assembly polls. We will fight this election alone,” said Mathur while addressing a press conference in Ballia district of UP on Saturday.

In reply to a question, he said that the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya would not be an election issue.

The common civil court will also not be an election issue. Simultaneously, the party would not insist on chanting ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.

Highlights:

  • Mathur claimed that the party would win 265 seats in the next assembly polls.
  • The Chief Minister candidate of the party will be decided by the command of the party.
