Lucknow: A big news in Uttar Pradesh due to the rising case of corona Virus. Until July 31 in UP, the weekend lockdown will be continue on Saturday and Sunday. Also, it has been decided that there is currently no plan to impose complete lockdown in the state from 16 to 31 July. UP Additional Chief Secretary Home Awanish Kumar Awasthi has given information dismissing the talk of imposing a complete lockdown.

Chief Secretary Home confirmed the weekend lockdown:

State Additional Chief Secretary Home Awanish Kumar Awasthi told the media on Wednesday that no new orders have been issued. The order to lockdown on Saturday and Sunday issued on July 14 will remain in force.

Also, the UP government released guidelines on July 14 for the lockdown to be held on Saturday and Sunday every week in the state. This lockdown will be in force from 10 pm Friday to 5 am Monday. All the markets, malls and offices will remain closed during this period. The government has issued guidelines regarding this.

Guidelines issued by Uttar Pradesh Govt:

-During this period (every Friday night from 10 am to 5.00 am), all the government offices (excluding all essential services and banks) will remain closed in the entire state.

- All urban and rural haats, markets, commercial establishments etc. will remain closed. In the remaining days, the opening period of all these will be from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm.

-All religious places will remain open during this period, ensuring adherence to social distancing and other health related restrictions.

-During this period, all industrial factories located in rural and urban areas of the state, including industries related to IT will continue to operate.
