Lucknow: In a latest reshuffle of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, the Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday appointed Anoop Chandra Pandey as the commissioner of Lucknow division.

This is, however, an additional charge given to Pandey, who is currently the Principal Secretary for Medical Education department. Six other IAS officers were also transferred by the government.

Chitrakoot division commissioner L Venketeshwarlu has been transferred to state human rights commission as the secretary while Commissioner for food and drugs administration Murli Manohar Lal has been shifted to Chitkarkoot on the place of L Venketeshwarlu.

Additional charge of Principal Secretary (PS) for Social Welfare Department was taken from Renuka Kumar. Kumar is presently the PS of Women Development and two other departments.

Director Women Welfare Gyan Prakash Tripathi has been shifted to the Agriculture Produce Commissioner branch. Manoj Singh has been given the additional charge of PS Social Welfare department.
