Lucknow: A six-year-old girl who went missing on Sunday evening was later found with a slit-throat in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, from the house of a person working with the victim's father.
Lucknow's Senior Superintendent of Police, Kalanidhi Naithani told reporters that an investigation in the case is underway. "The victim is a six-year-old girl. The child was found from the home of a person who works with her father. She was found in an injured state and was immediately rushed to the trauma center. She is attended by the doctors", Naithani said.
The girl was rushed to Trauma center but was found dead. The victim's family had already filed a complaint against her father's colleague.
The assailant was a 26 years old man who was married and had two daughters. His wife was at her parental abode along with her children. According to the sources, the culprit's name was "Bablu" and was thrown out from his job as he used to often drink and work.
Even after he was thrown out, his friend (victims father) did not break relations with him. Later, on the day of misconduct, the rapist visited the girl's house to meet her father. After her father went on work he visited again and asked the girl to give him some water. As her mother was in the bathroom, she did not have any idea of what was happening. The girl went missing since then.
Soon after the complaint was filed, the victim's grandmother told the police that she heard Bablu asking water from the 6-year-old. After hours of calling when Bablu did not pick the call the police reached his house, he did not allow anyone to enter. The police entered forcefully and went inside the bedroom only to see the 6-year-old covered in blood without any clothes. Bablu was arrested immediately.
On hearing the news of the victim's death everyone gathered in Trauma center and there was a protest by locals at the police outpost, alleging negligence.
