UP records 312 deaths; 15,747 more test positive; Lucknow sees a decline in Covid cases

LUCKNOW: The COVID-19 pandemic doesn't seem to end anytime soon. The second wave of COVID 19 has proven to be harmful and fatal. India on Friday recorded 343,144 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, according to Union health ministry dashboard. As many as 4,000 new deaths were also registered. The country has so far reported a total of 24.04 million cases and 262,317 deaths. India is currently reeling under a second Covid-19 wave.

The Uttar Pradesh on Friday reported 15,747 fresh cases with 312 deaths. In, most popular city Lucknow, 900 new coronavirus cases were found.

NITI Aayog praises UP Model:

NITI Aayog has praised this model of UP. NITI Aayog has tweeted that with this real time management, Uttar Pradesh has shown 250 MT of oxygen supply to 1000 MT in a very short time.

The commission has also called the model of door-to-door corona testing in rural areas of the state extremely effective. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also given instructions to increase the oxygen supply further.

Uttar Pradesh is the first state to implement an online monitoring system for the supply of oxygen. Food safety and Drug Administration, Medical Education Department, Medical Health and Family Welfare Department, Transport and Home Department were added to the digital platform.

Additional Chief Secretary, Home Avnish Kumar Awasthi said that the location, oxygen status and demand of oxygen tanker on the Oxi Cracker Dash Board is being monitored in a special control room in the Home Department. Arrangements have been made to leave the nearest vehicle to the hospital by tracking the online presence of the vehicles engaged in oxygen supply, so that the demand for oxygen can be met in a short time.

UP at the forefront of oxygen supply:

Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Avnish Kumar Awasthi said that oxygen supply has been increased to 1000 metric tons per day in the state. No state has supplied so much oxygen. As much oxygen is needed in the state, that much oxygen is being transported to the districts.

Number of Oxygen Plant growing:

Oxygen Generation Plants have been built in 13 districts of the state. The Government of India has sanctioned such plants for 14 institutions, of which five have been installed and work is underway in nine. The state government has also shared the list of 167 additional locations for setting up more plants with the central government.
