UP Polls 2017: Enthusiastic politicians cast votes in nawabi city

Lucknow: The third phase of the 2017 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections started in the nawabi city amid great enthusiasm of the electorate.

While a huge excitement was seen in the youth and women, all major political leaders also exercised their franchise to lock the fate of their respective parties.

The leaders also gave statements, after casting their votes and encouraged their candidates.

Mayawati (Lucknow East): BSP will get full majority and I am assured of BSP coming to power. People want a clean government. BSP is leading in first and second phase of the elections.

Rita Bahuguna Joshi (Lucknow Cantt): Bharatiya will win all seats of Lucknow. I am concerned about winning but the margin with which we will win would be worth seeing. Yadav family knows that they will lose that is why they are trying to persuade the voters through emotional speeches. Aparna Yadav has no political contribution.

Pankaj Singh (Lucknow Central): The wind is blowing in favour of BJP. We will provide corruption-free and clean government.

Rajnath Singh (Lucknow Central): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is going to form full majority government. Uttar Pradesh people are fed up of crimes in the state and will vote for BJP.

Akhilesh Yadav (Jaswantnagar constituency): We were ahead in first 2 phases and I am confident that we will be ahead in 3rd phase also. Samajwadi Party will once again form government, in alliance with Congress.

Prateek Yadav (Jaswantnagar constituency): There is no conflict within the party, everyone is united. SP-Congress win will be historic.

Uma Bharti (Lucknow East): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is the only ray of sunshine. The party will emerge victorious in UP polls.

Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahal: The atmosphere has changed after Bihar elections. After the win of coalition government in Bihar, UP people are voting on the name of development. UP is not voting on the name of religion. We are expecting expecting record voting in Lucknow. People have voted in large numbers in 1st and 2nd phases.

Kalbe Jawad: Everyone should cast the vote as it is the right of people. We should choose a government which assures the safety of women and maintains law and order in the state.

Sakshi Maharaj: People of UP knows that it is only BJP which can root out corruption and work for development of the state. They will vote for BJP and the party will form majority government.

Mulayam Singh Yadav (Jaswantnagar constituency): SP will form government in the state on its own and with complete majority. Shivpal Singh Yadav will emerge victorious.

Swati Singh (Sarojini Nagar constituency): UP people are mature and will vote for BJP. Bharatiya Janata Party will get more than 300 seats in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.

Dimple Yadav (Jaswantnagar constituency): UP people are looking for progress and better future. The wind is blowing in the favour of Samajwadi Party- Congress alliance.

Ravidas Malhotra: We will once again form government by defeating BJP.
