UP govt's cabinet meet today to focus on travel allowance for state workers

The Uttar Pradesh government's cabinet meeting will be held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In this meeting, preparations are being made to increase the fixed travel allowance of state employees, almost tripling it.

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government's cabinet meeting will be held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In this meeting, preparations are being made to increase the fixed travel allowance of state employees, almost tripling it.

However, the Pay Committee had recommended to increase it long back. The proposal of the Finance Department related to this will be put up in the cabinet meeting to be held today. This travel allowance is given to employees traveling in their working area.

Apart from this, the state government will make rules for the license of cannabis (bhaang) shops. In addition to this, the government will also decide on recommendations regarding permanent monthly allowance for state employees.

The plan for expansion of construction work in the Shaheed Ashfaullah Khan zoological garden in Gorakhpur will be approved. The Uttar Pradesh Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Disabled University Act 2001 will be amended.

Cabinet will also work on demolishing the old Primary Health Center for Community Health at Village Kotwa under Bahadur Block of Prayagraj, in order to provide special facilities like 200 beds for hostel students of Medical Technology at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow.
