Energizing Workers through Yatra

In the month of February, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' will be conducted in Uttar Pradesh for about 11 days. This journey will cover approximately 1074 kilometers across 20 districts of the state. Through the Nyay Yatra, the Congress party aims to boost the enthusiasm of its workers for the Lok Sabha elections and connect with the general public.

One-Sided Seat Distribution Rejected

Avinash Pandey, the in-charge of Uttar Pradesh Congress, has categorically rejected the seat distribution offered by the Samajwadi Party, terming it as one-sided and unacceptable. The Samajwadi Party has allocated only 11 seats to the Congress for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh. According to the UP Congress in-charge, the India Gathbandhan ensures coordination among all parties, aiming to defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Lok Sabha elections. He emphasized the need for all alliance parties to unite on a common goal.

Potential Tickets for Senior Leaders

As per sources, some senior leaders of the Pradesh Congress may be fielded in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The Congress party's performance in the previous Lok Sabha elections in 2019 was disappointing, securing victory only in the Rae Bareli constituency, won by Congress candidate Sonia Gandhi.
