UP set to give ‘triple talaq’ to BJP, SP and Congress: Owaisi

Lucknow: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday came down hard on BJP, SP and Congress, saying, poll-bound Uttar Pradesh will give ‘triple talaq’ to these three in the Assembly elections.

“UP people have tried every party, be it Bharatiya Janata Party, Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party or Congress, all left public high and dry,” said Owaisi.

Earlier, in a news channel event, he had said that on the name of development both PM Modi and Akhilesh are playing politics with commoners.

Attacking PM Modi, he had said:

• Why the Modi government keeps harping on the sensitive topic of ‘triple talaq’
• Why do not they talk about Zakia Jafri and Akhlaq who was killed in Dadri?
• PM Modi made hollow promises during Lok Sabha elections, fooling people of the nation.
