Etawah/Lucknow: Stones have been pelted at senior Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Yadav's cavalcade at his home constituency Jaswantnagar during the third phase polling of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Polls on Sunday.

Shivpal said that the attack was aimed to kill him and he had faced such threats earlier also. Stones were pelted over his vehicle near the polling booth.

Incidents of violence were also reported in Rita Bahugana Joshi's Cantt. constituency in Lucknow at polling booth number 197.

It may be mentioned that supporters of Bharatiya Janata Party and Bahujan Samaj Party clashed at the Govind Nagar constituency in Kanpur. The incident happened at Prakash Vidya Mandir polling booth.
