Lucknow: Former Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister Vijay Mishra was sacked from Samajwadi Party on Sunday.

Vijay Mishra had shifted his loyalties from SP to Mayawati-led Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on February 16 after his candidature was withdrawn by SP.

At the time of joining BSP in presence of party General Secretary Satish Chandra Mishra, Vijay had accused SP President Akhilesh Yadav of insulting him.

Hitting out at the UP CM, Vijay had said that Akhilesh is anti-Brahman. “It was due to Akhilesh Yadav, Raja Ram Pandey left Samajwadi Party. Following him, Shivakant Ojha, Pavan Pandey, Manoj Pandey also left party after being insulted. My department had also been changed,” he said.

What else Vijay Mishra had said?

  • I have worked for linking the Brahmans from Varanasi to Gorakhpur.
  • I have been said that I will be given ticket. But, they neglected me.
