Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh government, on Thursday, appointed Raghvendra Singh as the new Advocate General (AG) of the state.

Singh has replaced Vijay Bahadur Singh who was appointed by the previous Samajwadi Party government.

Putting rest to speculations, government today issued notification which said, "Raghvendra Singh would be the new AG of the state."

Vijay Bahadur Singh had resigned after SP lost in the assembly polls but his resignation was accepted from today.
