Fresh mandate: Pvt medical colleges to offer courses at govt fee
Lucknow: Clipping the wings of private medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh, the state government on Friday ruled that the fee of half of the MBBS and BDS seats available in these institutions should be equal to government colleges.

- The standard fee taken by the private medical colleges of the state is between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 20 lakh.
- There is an availability of 1544 MBBS and 51 BDS seats in private colleges of the state this year.
- The counselling for admission in all private as well as government medical colleges of UP will begin from Saturday.
