Hardoi News: In a case where a student attempted suicide by jumping from the second floor of a private school in Azamgarh, the police have arrested the principal and a teacher of the private school. The private school teachers and staff were accused of intimidating and threatening the child, which led to the unfortunate incident. In response, private schools have raised their voice against the action taken against the principal and teacher, leading to a one-day strike in private schools across Hardoi.

Several schools have declared a holiday for students. Under the banner of the Private School Association, many private schools including St. Xavier's and Bal Vidya Bhavan observed a one-day strike in protest against the ban on one-day teaching activities. The Private School Association, along with Hardoi and various schools in the state, announced a day off for children on Tuesday. Further strategies are being devised during the protest by the Private School Association.

During the protest in St. Xavier's School, supporters of the Private School Association demonstrated with black armbands and held chalkboards in their hands, sending a message of unity. The demand of the Private School Association is to immediately release the arrested teachers and principal and conduct an impartial and thorough investigation by the police into the matter before any action is taken.

Support for the Bereaved Student's Family, but Arresting Teachers and Principal Is Wrong!

Principal Mausami Chatterjee of St. Xavier's School stated that a one-day teaching ban was imposed by us on Tuesday. Teachers and the entire staff of the school protested by wearing black armbands and opposing the arrest of the teachers and principal. Mausami Chatterjee expressed condolences to the bereaved student's family. The incident in Azamgarh is tragic; a parent has lost their child. Mausami Chatterjee stated that the action of the police administration in Azamgarh, arresting the teachers and principal solely based on allegations without proper investigation, is not just. The Private School Association of Uttar Pradesh opposes the arrest of the principal and teachers of Azamgarh's private school without a fair and thorough investigation. St. Xavier's School is aligned with the Private School Association of Uttar Pradesh. Mausami Chatterjee stated that the Association will consider and decide on the next course of action.
