New Delhi: Congress' newly appointed General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will officially assume office on February 7. After which she will begin her election campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. Priyanka will kickstart the campaigning with a road show in Lucknow. She is expected to reach the capital by February 11.

Before the promotions, the Congress leader will attend an official meeting with party president Rahul Gandhi. The meeting has been called keeping in mind the general elections which will comprise of some ace politicians and officials of the Congress party.

Rahul also had talks with Priyanka and Jyotiraditya Scindia along with KC Venugopal on Tuesday at his residence.

Priyanka also called on some party leaders to discuss on strengthening the party in northern UP and also asked for their suggestions. On Tuesday, she met a specially-abled child in a nearby slum and promised to help him in every way possible. As per sources, the majority people in these slums are from northern and western Uttar Pradesh.
