UP Police arrests 3 burglars, injures 2 in gunfight in Lucknow

Lucknow: The Lucknow police on Tuesday night indulged in a gunfight with the burglars who had planned a theft at the residence of a local businessman in the Ghazipur region of the state capital.

The police arrested three criminals Taufees, Sadik and Vikas while two more, namely Rehan and Anwar, sustained bullet injuries in the encounter. The injured criminals have been admitted to the KGMC Trauma Center.

It is worth mentioning that the thieves had planned a burglary at the residence of a businessman who owns a shop at the posh Bhootnath market of the city.

The police has recovered two pistols, three indigenous guns, some rods, anaesthesia injections and a car from the criminals. The encounter took place near the Kukrail bridge in the Ghazipur police station region.
