Lucknow: The centenary year of Lucknow University is going to end today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will conclude the event at 5 pm. Apart from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel, the program will also include Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.

LU administration requested to the Prime Minister’s Office. Request related to Prime Minister Modi for virtual participation in this ceremony accepted.
It is worth mentioning that, on the admission of Lucknow University’s 100th year, the programs started from November 19 . During this time a science festival organized in the campus.
In which apart from the stalls of scientific institutions across the state, museums also opened in science departments of the university. These days due to the centenary year celebrations, the entire Lucknow University campus illuminated with lights. Many alumni participated in it.
Many veterans will attend the Lucknow University ceremony:
Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Barkatullah Khan, Ramakrishna Hegde of Karnataka, Surjit Singh Barnala of Punjab and Hiteshwar Saikia of Assam, former Union Minister NKP Salve also left LLB from the same campus and later made a mark as a prominent leader and cricket administrator.
Dr. Dinesh Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister of the state and Dr. Mahendra Singh, Minister of Water Power have been the teachers of this university. The then Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru also came here in the first convocation after independence of 1948.
Centennial Program of Lucknow University:
Lucknow University established in 1920. LU is one of the oldest state-owned institutions of higher education in India. UP government owns the University.
The main campus of the university is Badshahbagh, and the second campus is in Jankipuram. There are about 160 colleges affiliated to Lucknow University. This University affiliated to the Grants Commission Commonwealth University Organization Indian University Organization Distance Education Council. The university is also certified by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.
