PM Modi, CM Yogi & other Politicians condole death of Former UP CM Kalyan Singh

New Delhi: Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh passed away in the capital Lucknow at the age of 89 after a prolonged illness. Kalyan Singh was admitted to SGPGI in the capital Lucknow since July 4.

Former UP CM Kalyan Singh passes away at 89:

Kalyan Singh breathed his last at around 9.15 pm on Saturday night.However, in view of the deteriorating health of Kalyan Singh in the past, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had reached PGI on Friday and Saturday evening to inquire about the health of Kalyan Singh.

Saddened beyond words: PM Modi

PM Modi said in his condolence message- 'I am saddened by the demise of Kalyan Singh ji. "Generations to come will remain forever grateful to Kalyan Singh Ji for his contributions towards India's cultural regeneration. He was firmly rooted in Indian values and took pride in our centuries old traditions," PM Modi said in a tweet.

CM Yogi condoles death of Kalyan Singh:

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the death of Kalyan Singh is an irreparable loss not only to Indian politics but also to the BJP family. I wish peace to the departed soul. I pay homage to Kalyan Singh for the contribution made by him for the country-state and democratic values. The Chief Minister also announced a three-day state mourning in the state and a public holiday in the state on August 23, the day of his funeral.

Mayawati reaches Kalyan Singh's residence:

BSP supremo Mayawati paid tribute to the late leader by reaching Kalyan Singh's residence on Sunday morning. During this, while talking to the media, Mayawati described Kalyan Singh as a big leader. Also said that he was the supporter of the backwards. May God give strength to his family and followers to bear this tough time.

All big leaders including Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh can come to Lucknow to pay tribute to Kalyan Singh. Additional Chief Secretary Awanish Awasthi said that almost everyone is reaching for the last darshan of Kalyan Singh ji.
