PHOTOS: Aanganwadi workers stage massive protest in Lucknow

Lucknow: Hundreds of Aanganwadi women on Tuesday took to the streets in the state capital city, demanding hike in the remunerations for workers and assistants in Uttar Pradesh.

Police had even charged batons in the morning to disburse protestors for the smooth running of the traffic at the busy Nishatganj road.

The road near to Laxman Mela ground, however, was blocked by the police in the evening after the protests from the Aanganwadi workers took a massive shape.

The dharna would continue till their demands were approved by the state government.
